Those of u who have spent time with tamed elephants, will have some idea of what "Kaawdi" means. well this is of for those who do not know. A Kaawdi means assistant to a "Mahout". A helper or the person who walks next to the elephant when the mahout is siting on top. A Mahout is a person who drives or rides or commands a elephant.
so this blog is dedicated to my experiences while i was working at the Dubare elephant camp near kushalnagar. I was working as a naturalist at the Jungle lodges & resorts in dubare, when i fell in love with this elephant called "Gopi" who eventually changed my life & life style. I worked there for a few months where in learned the basics of elephant riding, commands and their behavior. Even after i quit working the attachment of the place and the love for Gopi has always led me back to Dubae. Dubare is almost like my second home.
So in this blog i shall narrate my experiences with the love of my life which is apparently an Elephant and also many other interesting elephants stories i have encountered and faced in the forests.
